Contract extension for R.A. Dickey?
Mets general manager Sandy Alderson suggested that a contract agreement could still be worked out for pitcher R.A. Dickey.
``I prefer not to talk about contract negotiations in the public," Alderson told espnnewyork.com ``"However, I think I have indicated in the past that we have some flexibility in that regard. So we’ll see where that takes us."
Dickey, who is arbitration eligible, filed at $4.7 millon, the Mets offered $3.35.
Dickey has said he'd like at least a two-year deal.
