Detroit trades Galarraga to Arizona
The Tigers sent Armando Galarraga to the Arizona Diamondbacks for minor league pitchers Kevin Eichhorn and Ryan Robowski, according to numerous reports.
Galarraga was designated for assignment last week. He finished the 2010 season at 4-9 with a 4.49 ERA in 25 games.
He missed a perfect game with two outs in the ninth inning on an admittedly incorrect call by umpire Jim Joyce.
Eichhorn, pitching for Missoula in the Pioneer League in 2010, was 5-5 with a 4.94 ERA and had 71 strikeouts in 74.2 innings.
Robowski pitched in 35 games with Class-A Visalia, going 2-4 record with a 5.17 ERA.
