Evans is Mr. September
Nick Evans, who had two hits and a home run in last night's victory over the Pirates, is now hitting .333 since being called up from Triple-A Buffalo. He is 5-for-15 with three runs batted in and two of his hits have won games.
But do not get too excited. As of now, Evans is not expected to fit into the Mets major league plans next season.
