Food for thought?
Greenwichtime.com reported that Bobby Valentine was spotted having dinner with Jeff Wilpon, Omar Minaya and Wally Backman at swanky Quattro Pazzi in Stamford on Sept. 23.
That followed an earlier report that the Mets were considering Valentine as managr and Backman as bench coach.
But it doesn't add up if Minaya's power is being eroded after today's meeting with Wilpon.
