Hicksville's Maron honored

Maron, a left-handed batter, hit .462 with 24 hits, 21 walks, 18 RBIs and a .644 on-base. He caught 122 innings in 21 games and threw out 13 of 25 base stealers. Maron is accepted to C.W. Post and was also drafted by the Mets in the 34th round, No. 1,034 overall.
Cam Maron, a catcher from Hicksville, received a Sterling Award as the Mets' top player from Rookie League Kingsport. Josh Satin, who started at first base Wednesday night, was Organizational Player of the Year. Lefthander Darin Gorski (Class A St. Lucie) was Pitcher of the Year.
