Hiroki Kuroda has struggled against the Mets

L.A. Dodgers righthander Hiroki Kuroda, who is tonight's starter, has been the team's ace so far this season, along with left-hander Clayton Kershaw.

Kuroda is an impressive 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA.

He pitched very well back on April 9 against the Florida Marlins. The Dodgers won the game 7-3, but Kuroda didn't allow an earned run in eight innings. He also had seven strikeouts in that game.

Kuroda didn't get a decision on April 15 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, a game the Dodgers won 6-5. Kuroda gave up two earned runs in seven innings with another seven strikeouts. He did surrender 10 hits.

The Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds 14-6 on April 21, with Kuroda going 5.2 innings to get the win. He allowed three earned runs and gave up two home runs.

So, for the most part, Kuroda has been pretty solid this season.

But the Mets have had Kuroda's number. Kuroda is 0-2 with a 10.45 ERA against the Mets.

Henry Blanco and David Wright has the most career at-bats against Kuroda -- seven.

Rod Barajas, Ike Davis and Fernando Tatis have never faced him. Jason Bay, Blanco, Frank Catalanotto and Alex Cora are hitless against him.
