Hu's the best defensive player
He doesn't project much as a hitter, but he can field and Chin-Lung Hu will start at shorstop in today's exhibition with Houston.
Hu should make the team as a defensive replacement to back up the youngsters (assuming Luis Castillo is cut) at second base and give Jose Reyes a break.
