Just a couple quick hits this morning between a busy day of interviews:

-- In a somewhat surprising development, chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon held an impromptu news conference this morning, in the clubhouse, of all places. Wilpon said that his family has no plans to sell a controlling interest in the team.

"It's not on the table," he said.

Wilpon also said that the $1 billion clawback lawsuit resulting from the Madoff Ponzi scheme will not directly effect the Mets, and that his family "is going to be victorious in the end."

-- Francisco Rodriguez arrived at 8:20 this morning and is currently warming up for his bullpen session. So far, the reception has been good. K-Rod has been laughing with teammates, and David Wright had his arm around him earlier. He'll address the media later.

-- Johan Santana also arrived this morning, and seemed to be in good spirits. He'll probably talk later as well. Same with Jose Reyes.

-- Jason Isringhausen looked happy to be putting on a Mets uniform again, only he didn't get his customary No. 44. That belongs to Jason Bay. Isringhausen is wearing No. 45 in honor of John Franco. As for haggling with Bay over No. 44, Izzy responded, "I have to make the team first."
