Johan Santana to throw Tuesday

New York Mets pitcher Johan Santana walks into Digital Domain Park to warm up before throwing a bullpen session in Port St. Lucie, Fla. It was first time the two-time Cy Young Award winner has thrown off a mound since pitching four innings in an instructional league game on Sept. 30, 2011. (Feb. 17, 2012) Credit: AP
The Mets expect Santana to throw his bullpen session Tuesday as scheduled after he experienced no problems from Friday's outing. Santana threw 25 pitches from a mound that morning for the first time since September and then had three days off to recover.
