Former Mets pitcher John Maine agreed on a minor league contract with Colorado, the team announced. He will join the Rockies at spring training.

Maine will earn $3 million if he makes the team. He will become a free agent again if he is not added to the big league roster early in the regular season, espn.com is reporting.

Maine, 29, is 41-36 in his big league career with the Orioles and Mets. He had shoulder problems with the Mets and had surgery last July. It ended his season and career in New York.
