Jose Reyes, Day 2
Jose Reyes, playing in a minor-league game for the second day in a row, went 1-for-5 and played three innings in the field against the Marlins' Triple-A team.
In his second at-bat, Reyes hit a grounder off third base. He busted it to second and slid in headfirst for a double before coming out for a runner.
Later, he ran out to short for a fourth inning of defense, but was called back by the bench. Baby steps, Jose.
Reyes is supposed to have tomorrow off. Opening day? Certainly looks ready, but the Mets won't make that decision until they have to.
