Maine has surgery, done for season. Probably done as Met, too
The Mets provided this medical update on John Maine this morning.
John Maine had arthroscopic surgery yesterday to clean out scar tissue in his right shoulder. The surgery was performed by Dr. Michael Cicotti in Philadelphia. Maine is expected to be ready for Spring Training.
It's probably a safe bet that he will be non-tendered by the Mets, making him a free again this offseason.
