For the first time ever, the Mets will play all 29 other teams in 2023, according to the schedule released by MLB on Wednesday.
The new, balanced slate greatly decreases a team’s number of games against division opponents and adds series against every team in the opposite league — which for the Mets, for example, includes a home set against the Angels, featuring Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani (if he isn’t traded) on Aug. 25-27.
The Mets’ Opening Day game will be March 30 at Miami, making for an easy transition logistically from spring training in Port St. Lucie. The home opener at Citi Field will be April 6, also again the Marlins.
Here are a few other highlights:
* The Subway Series in Queens on June 13-14 and in the Bronx on July 25-26.

* Interleague trips to Oakland (April 14-16), Detroit (May 2-4), Houston (June 19-21), Boston (July 21-23), Kansas City (Aug. 1-3), Baltimore (Aug. 4-6) and Minnesota (Sept. 8-10)
