The Mets acquired shortstop Chin-lung Hu from the Los Angeles Dodgers for minor-league lefthander Michael Antonini Monday.
Hu, 26, spent the majority of last season with Triple-A Albuquerque, hitting .317 with four home runs and 25 RBIs. He batted .130 (3-for-23) in two brief stints with the Dodgers.
Signed as a free agent by the Dodgers in 2003, Hu made his major-league debut in 2007 and hit .191 (33-for-173) in 96 games in four seasons.
Antonini, 25, was 6-9 with a 4.23 ERA in 23 starts for Double-A Binghamton. He also made six starts for Triple-A Buffalo, going 2-3 with a 5.11 ERA. - AP
