Mets reach agreement with eight players, source says

The Mets avoided salary arbitration with Matt Harvey and Noah Syndergaard, who reached agreement with the team and received raises.
Harvey was 5-7 with a 6.70 ERA in 18 starts. According to an industry source, he was given a $500,000 raise to $5.625 million. He was suspended for three days in May after failing to show up for a game and missed 2 1⁄2 months with a scapula injury. Syndergaard tore a lat muscle and went 1-2 with a 2.97 ERA in seven starts. He will earn $2.975 million, compared to $605,500 last season.
Jacob deGrom (15-10) will make $7.4 million, up from $4.05 million. The Mets also agreed with AJ Ramos (reportedly $9.225 million), Jeurys Familia ($7.925 million), Travis d’Arnaud ($3.475 million), Wilmer Flores ($3.4 million) and Hansel Robles ($900,000.) They exchanged arbitration figures with Zack Wheeler, who reportedly is seeking $1.9 million and was offered $1.5 million.
