The Mets avoided arbitration with outfielder Jeff Francoeur and lefty reliever Pedro Feliciano, agreeing to one-year contracts with both Monday.

Francoeur gets $5 million, a raise of more than $1.6 million, while Feliciano agreed to a $2.9 million deal, with another $100,000 attainable in bonuses.

Francoeur hit .311 with 20 doubles, 10 homers and 41 RBIs in 75 games with the Mets. He was acquired from Atlanta on July 10 for outfielder Ryan Church. Francoeur batted .280 overall with 15 homers and 76 RBIs last year, when he made $3,375,000.

He is eligible for free agency after the 2011 season.

Feliciano made a National League-leading 88 appearances in 2009, throwing 59 1/3 innings and going 6-4 with a 3.03 ERA and .215 batting average against lefthanders

Two Mets remain in arbitration: righthander Sean Green and outfielder Angel Pagan.
