Mets coaches in limbo

Jeff Wilpon said at today's press conference that the status of Jerry Manuel's coaches would be ``on hold'' and that interim GM John Ricco would speak with them.

First base coach Razor Shines, a close friend of Manuel, is likely to leave and Howard Johnson, the batting coach, could be reassigned within the organization.

That leaves decisions on pitching coach Dan Warthen, third base coach Chip Hale, bench coach Dave Jauss and bullpen coach Randy Niemann
