Today's rubber game between the Mets and Colorado Rockies has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up tomorrow at 3:10 EST.
Jon Niese (1-4, 4.47 ERA) was supposed to take the mound for the Mets against Ubaldo Jimenez (0-2, 5.88 ERA). The Rockies announced on Twitter that Jimenez will make the start tomorrow afternoon.
There was a nearly hour-long rain delay during the Mets’ 4-3 win last night during the seventh inning. The Mets dropped the opener of the series on Monday, 2-1. Tomorrow was supposed to be a travel day for the Mets before opening a three game series in Houston against the Astros.
