Mets get slammed again
Rookie Danny Espinosa hit a grand slam home run in Washington's 13-3 victory over the Mets on Monday. That has become commonplace this season.
The Mets are closing in on the dubious record of allowing the most grand slams to the opposition. It now stands at 11, one short of the National League record set by the Montreal Expos (now Washington Nationals). The Tigers hold the major league record with 14.
The Mets have not hit a bases loaded homer this season.
