Mets need healthy Pagan and Beltran
The big story last week was what the Mets would do with two centerfielders when Carlos Beltran rejoins the team alongside hot hitting Angel Pagan. With Pagan out for four straight games with a muscle strain and Beltran on his rehab assignment, the dropoff has been quite apparent.
The feel good story that would have 31-year-old rookie Jesus Feliciano being a third option has fallen short. After 36 at-bats since being called up from Buffalo, the career minor leaguer is hitting .250 with one run batted in.
The message in all of this: You can't have too many healthy (and productive) players.
