Mets release Igarashi; outright Pascucci, Thayer, Alvarez

FLUSHING, N.Y., October 21, 2011 – The New York Mets today announced the team has granted righthanded pitcher Ryota Igarashi his unconditional release. The Mets also outrighted infielder Valentino Pascucci and righthanded pitchers Dale Thayer and Manny Alvarez to Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.
