Mets score 18 runs--and win

The Mets' 18-5 victory over the Cubs on Sunday brought to mind a story from 1964 when the Mets beat the Cubs, 19-1.

As the tale goes, someone called a local newspaper to ask if the Mets had won that day.  The person at the paper informed him that the Mets had scored 19 runs.

``Bit did they win?'' was the caller's response.
