The Mets are establishing their first Silver Sluggers Club at Citi Field, the team announced Friday. The club’s goal is create community among Mets fans ages 55 and up.

Mets vice president of alumni public relations Jay Horwitz will host events.

“The Mets have been committed to providing a best-in-class experience for all fans at Citi Field,” Horwitz said in a statement released by the team. “By bringing the Silver Sluggers Club to the ballpark, Citi Field goes beyond a place for Mets fans to watch a game and becomes a social space for people to gather and form a community.”

Members of the Silver Sluggers Club can choose from three different ticket plans for three select weekday matinee home games. Seating in shaded and protected areas in Field Reserved and Excelsior Reserved will be included. Members also get exclusive access to in-person and virtual experiences hosted by Horwitz. Activities will include pre-game social events, a virtual book club, warning track salute, and “other surprises.”

The team also announced that the Mets Teen Club will return for the 2024 season. The teen club is open to fans ages 13-16, and membership includes a ticket to a select weekday home game and to “Teen Club Day,” with prizes from Dunkin’ and an opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win “special experiences,” access to in-person and virtual events and “other surprises.”

The Mr. and Mrs. Met’s Kids Club is available for fans ages 12 and under. Membership includes two tickets to one of the two Mr. and Mrs. Met’s Kids Club Days. Also included is a welcome kit, opportunities to collect monthly items, bonus prizes for check-ins throughout the month, one complimentary scoreboard message, four tickets to select Brooklyn Cyclones games and more.

The Mets also announced new nine-game tickets packs. This gives fans options to access “high demand games,” such as Opening Day and Subway Series games against the Yankees. Fans can select between three different options of six base games and add three additional games of their choice.

Other new features include giving fans access to gameday suite availability and a ticket discount during the birthday month for fans who subscribe to the Mets Newsletter. Tickets will get a 50% discount for a minimum of two and maximum of six tickets.
