The Mets will honor the 30th anniversary of the storied 1986 World Series championship team on the weekend of May 27-29, the team announced on Monday.

The on-field ceremony honoring the Mets’ last World Series title-winning team will take place on May 28 before the scheduled 7:15 p.m. game against the Dodgers.

All three Memorial Day weekend games will be played at night, with “Family Sunday” on May 29 having already been selected by ESPN for an 8 p.m. start.

“The 1986 Mets made an indelible mark on the baseball and New York sports scene, capturing the hearts of fans like few other teams,” Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said in a statement. “This 30th anniversary celebration provides our fans a way to reconnect their excitement to the historic achievements of 1986.”
