MVP Votto, Reds agree to new deal
The Cincinnati Reds will sign Joey Votto to a thee-year deal worth $38 million, mlb.com reported.
The deal would allow the first baseman to reach free agency after the 2013 season.
The 27-year-old Votto hit 37 homers, drove in 113 runs and batted .324 in 2010.
