Now Barajas is hot
Former Met Rod Barajas hit a three-run home run and had two doubles as the Dodgers defeated the Brewers, 5-3, Tuesday night.
Barajas was the subject of a Vin Scully joke last Sunday when the Dodgers' announcer said he would return next season for his 62nd season as a broadcaster.
"Of course, now that they have Rod Barajas, that was the clincher," Scully told espnLosAngeles.com.
Barajas was excited that Scully mentioned his name. ``I did [hear it], and I loved it," he said. "He has had a big impact on baseball for me. When he calls a Dodgers game, you can turn the TV off and just listen to his voice. I hear other players around the league talking about their broadcasters, but I tell them there is nobody who compares with Vin Scully."
