For baseball managers, a vote of confidence means you have your job as long as you have it. Check this out:

Omar Minaya, May 27, 2008: "Willie [Randolph] has my support. He has the support of our ownership. Willie's job was never in danger going into this meeting. There is no limbo period. Willie is the manager."

June 18, 2008: Minaya fired Randolph in Anaheim. Randolph was angered the team made him travel to California to get the news.

Minaya, July 23, 2010: ``Jerry Manuel is our manager, will be our manager. We're very happy with the job he's done.''

Manuel lives in California. As this miserable road trip (1-7) nears an end, Will Minaya drag Manuel back to New York to do the deed?
