According to reports,  the Mets signed Willie Harris to a minor league deal. He will be invited  to spring training in hopes of becoming the team's fourth outfielder.

Harris only hit .183 for the Washington Nationals last season, but did show some power with 10 home runs.

The 32-year-old Harris has played for Baltimore, Boston, Atlanta and the Chicago White Sox. His career average is .239 with 37 homers and 187 runs batted in.

Harris played for the World Series champion White Sox in 2005. He had a pinch-hit single and scored the only run in a 1-0 win over Houston for the clincher.
