Pelfrey looks to rebound vs. Twins
It is difficult to find fault with a pitcher with a 9-2 record and 2.69 earned run average. But he goes.
Mike Pelfrey has shown some shaky signs in his last two outings. He gave up three earned runs on nine hits while walking three against the lowly Orioles. Then, he allowed five runs on seven hits and walked three against the Yankees in his last outing.
Pelfrey will face the Twins tonight and needs a good performance for his self-confidence, the Mets’ status as contenders and a continued shot for a spot on the NL All-Star squad.
