Met fans think David Wright's days in a Mets uniform are numbered.

According to a recent poll on newsday.com, 43 percent of Met fans think the team will trade their All-Star third baseman before the 2012 season is over. Thirty-five percent of fans think the Mets will give him a contract extension while 22 percent see him leaving via free agency.

We're posting these results on the day Mets ownership reached a $162-million settlement with the trustee for the victims of Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme. Does the settlement change the minds of Met fans?

In our current poll, we are asking how will the Madoff settlement affect the Mets in the long run? Vote on the right side of this blog or click here.
