LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mike Repole's stable colors are blue and orange in honor of his beloved Mets, for whom he grew up rooting in Queens. The multimillionaire from Nassau County's North Shore previously expressed interest in buying into the team, though not for a minority share. Tuesday, a reporter jokingly asked Repole when he would do it.
"As they keep losing, their value goes down," Repole said. "So I'll be patient. I'm only 42."
