Report: Jeff Francoeur against Jose Reyes move
According to a report at NJ.com, Mets outfielder Jeff Francoeur pulled no punches in opposing the possible move of Jose Reyes from the leadoff spot in the batting order to third. Manager Jerry Manuel said it could happen in the three-game series that begins tonight in St. Louis.
However, Francoeur commented that Reyes is "the most dynamic leadoff hitter in the game," and he added that he hopes the rest of the lineup starts producing so that there's no need to change Reyes to a run-producing situation as opposed to his current run-scoring role.
