Report: LHP Fossum returns to Mets
Relief pitcher Casey Fossum, who made three appearances for the Mets in 2009, has signed a contract that includes an invitation to spring training, ESPN.com. is reporting.
The 33-year-old Fossum pitched in Japan last season. He will compete for a spot in the bullpen with Taylor Tankersley, Tim Byrdak and MIke O'Conner.
