Report: Valentine seeks ownership in Mets
Bobby Valentine can't find a job as manager, how about an owner?
Valentine told ESPN, where he works as an analyst, that he is putting together a group to make an offer for the Mets.
“I've talked to a number of people interested in purchasing part of the New York Mets, but I'm not formally with any group that is actively pursuing this venture,” Valentine was quoted by ESPN.
None of those who have expressed public interest in buying all or part of the team, from Donald Trump to Martin Luther King III--are considered serious candidates by the firm of Allen & Company, which is screening potential bidders for the Wilpon family.
