Reyes cleared, thyroid levels down, be here tomorrow

The Mets just announced that Jose Reyes has been cleared by the team's medical staff to report to Port St. Lucie. His thyroid levels have returned to normal and Reyes is expected back here late tonight.
What that means for his return to baseball activities is unclear - yet. Omar Minaya will speak to reporters shortly to talk about Reyes' chances of being in the lineup for Opening Day. I think he still has a shot, but the Mets have to be careful about his legs, obviously. Reyes has only played in an intrasquad game this spring.

Mets' Holmes making strides toward return. Is an extension in his future?
