Jose Reyes and Ryan Braun are neck and neck in the NL batting title race -- but the Mets shortstop holds a fractional lead over the Brewers' leftfielder.
Reyes is batting .33396, compared to Braun's .33393.
The shortstop, who began the day at .331, went 3-for-4 against the Reds last night to up his average to .344. Though Braun did not start last night's game against Pittsburgh, he smacked a pinch-hit double in the sixth to raise tie raise at .344. He had a chance to take sole possession of first place in the eighth, but he was hit with a pitch from Jason Grilli.
Both the Mets and the Brewers will be in action Tuesday.
