Reyes not interested in Yankees, either

Jose Reyes was unaware of, and then unconcerned with, a published report in which general manager Brian Cashman said the Yankees are not interested in the free-agent-to-be shortstop.
"I don't worry about that," Reyes said. "I play for the New York Mets. I don't care what he said. I'm focused on this team."
On Wednesday, Cashman told the Daily News of Reyes-to-the-Yankees scenarios: "That's just not going to happen. We have an everyday shortstop in Derek Jeter. And I think we have an everyday shortstop that would be playing for a lot of clubs in Eduardo Nuñez. The Yankees don't have a need now or in the future for a shortstop."
Future stock
Top pitching prospect Matt Harvey and third baseman Jefry Marte will be the Mets' representatives at the Futures Game July 10.
Harvey, 22, who will make his Double-A debut Sunday, was 8-2 with a 2.37 ERA for Class A St. Lucie. Marte, 20, was hitting .283 with five homers and 32 RBIs for St. Lucie.
Tejada sits
Slumping Ruben Tejada (3-for-29) was given the day off. But manager Terry Collins said that's all it was.
"He's out of his game plan right now," Collins said. "Those swings he took [Wednesday] night, they were all big, aggressive. That's just not what he's been doing right . . . He wants to hit something as hard as he can to show you that he can."
Jason Bay, after one night in the cleanup spot, batted sixth and went 1-for-4.

As a thank you for sitting through the 2:15 rain delay before first pitch, fans with tickets to the game can exchange them for a ticket to the Mets' Aug. 11 game against the Padres, the team announced.
