In today's Newsday, Jose Reyes is eager to play with the team on April 9th against the Marlins, but the Mets management is in no rush to push him back after being sidelined with an overactive thyroid.
Hitting was a sore spot for David Wright last season and he clearly took the steps in the offseason to address it. He's had a ridiculous couple of days at spring training, pumping his batting average from .229 to .317 over two games.
