Scoreless Wainwright vs. scoreless Mets
The Mets had scoreless streaks of 24, 17 and the last 16 innings on their 2-9 road trip. Now they are home and have to face Cardinals' ace Adam Wainwright (14-5, 1.94), who has not allowed a run in 25 innings.
But wait. Wainwright has lost all of his games on the road (despite a 2.82 ERA). And the Mets can still cling to their 30-16 mark at home.
Jonathon Niese (6-4, 3.54) starts for the Mets.
