Scott Hairston (oblique) took batting practice again and could make his Grapefruit League debut Wednesday.
Jason Bay (bruised left forearm) showed improvement, but the Mets chose to have him skip batting practice. "Just to let that arm rest a little bit rather than aggravate that a little more," Terry Collins said. "I plan on playing him [Tuesday] if he's OK."
