Currently, it's 46 degrees this morning in Port St. Lucie, so don't let the bright sun fool you. The high is expected to be around 64, but the day after we had golf ball-sized hail in the Treasure Coast area, we won't be getting any snow, thankfully.

Not idea conditions for the Mets' first official workout, and with the wild shift in temperatures, it's been a crazy first week down here. But as the players take the field this morning, the DL list is relatively clean, and the Mets are for the most part healthy, except for Francisco Rodriguez's raging case of pink eye(s).

Finally joining the Mets is Rod Barajas, who made it to camp yesterday but apparently has some work to do impressing the manager. Jerry Manuel professed not to know much about Barajas, adding that he sees the catching position has another "competition" in camp.

There were a few interesting sights on the backfields yesterday, with Sean Green unveiling his new sub-mariner delivery to hitters, as well as Hisanori Takahashi and Ryota Igarashi pitching live BP for the first time. It's too early to tell where either fits right now, but there's plenty of time for that, and the Grapefruit League games don't begin until next Tuesday.
