Takahashi facing unfamiliar foes
Which is good news for the Mets lefthander. Part of his success this season has come from opponents' lack of familiarity with him -- the Yankees are the exception there, of course, but Takahashi should be an unpleasant surprise for the Tigers tonight at Citi Field.
Takahashi is 3-1 in his six starts and has allowed one run or fewer in four of them. He may also be statistically the best interleague pitcher in baseball; three starts against the American League and Takahashi is 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA.
So, watch out, Tigers.
