Torre would listen if Mets called

Joe Torre was in New York yesterday to attend the unveiling of a monument to George Steinbrenner and was asked about his interest in managing the Mets next season. ``I am curious,'' he told WFAN. ``When the season is over, I hope the phone will be ringing.''
