Triple Crown opportunity fades
The chances of a Triple Crown winner this season diminished even with Albert Pujols hitting two home runs in Atlanta Sunday night. He has 39 homers, 104 runs batted in and is hitting .309.
Pujols would really have to go on a hitting tear to catch the other candidates in the batting race. Or, they would have to really slump.
Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez has 32 homers, 100 RBIs and is hitting 337.
The Reds' Joey Votto has 33 homers, 102 RBIs and is at .320.
