Valentine not the Mariners choice

Bobby Valentiene remains available. He appeared headed to Seattle, but the Mariners are going with former Cleveland manager Eric Wedge.

Valentine also has interviewed with Toronto. Since returning from Japan,.Valentine has been mentioned for just about every openng.  

The Mets, in the process of hiring a general manager, appear to have no great interest in a reunion with Valentine.
