Valentine seeks (any) managerial job
Remember when Gary Carter was skewered for putting his name in play for the Mets' managerial job? How about Bobby Valentine. He wanted in on Florida, until they didn't want him. He wants to be in play for the Cubs and Mariners. And surely the Dodgers if Joe Torre decides to retire, despite Don Mattingly's stated desire to replace Torre.
Then there's the Mets, who do not appear at all interested in another round with Valentine.
Valentine supposedly was not interested in Baltimore, where Buck Showalter took over. But you wonder how serious the Orioles were in the first place.
