David Wright was named the NL Player of the Week for batting .500 (13-for-26) with five doubles and seven RBIs over eight games.
Chris Schwinden, who arrived Monday in the Mets' second wave of call-ups, will start Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Braves. The righthander was 8-8 with a 3.95 ERA and struck out 134 in 1452/3 innings at Triple-A Buffalo.
Valentino Pascucci, 32, returned to the majors for the first time since 2004 with the now-defunct Expos. The first baseman hit the first of his two career homers that year on Sept. 15 against the Marlins -- at what was then called Pro Player Stadium.
