A-Rod goes for 600th against rookie pitcher
Indians' rookie righthander Josh Tomlin has a tall order in his big league debut: He must face Alex Rodriguez at the plate and be opposed on the mound by CC Sabathia.
Tomlin was 8-4 with a 2.68 earned run average at Triple A Columbus. He yielded 11 home runs. Tomlin apparently isn't the scared type. He was arrested last month in an Ankron bar for fighting with a bouncer. The case is pending.
Sabathia (13-3, 3.18) is looking to strengthen his Cy Young credentials as he faces his former team.
