Aaron Judge is ready to put his regular season away and begin a new one in the postseason.
And he fully recognizes that his career will be defined by what occurs in these situations.
So, 52 regular-season home runs is not enough.
“Well, that’s what it’s all about, postseason baseball,’’ Judge said Monday at Yankee Stadium on the eve of Tuesday’s wild-card game with the Twins. “The regular season, it’s kind of like spring training’s over. This is the regular season now. This is what it’s all about. This is where a lot of those [retired] numbers that are hanging out there in left field, this is where they made a name for themselves, in the postseason.
“I’m just excited for this opportunity. What the team’s done so far this year to get to this point from Spring Training to now is incredible. So it’s going to be a fun postseason.’’
