Advantage Carmona vs. A-Rod
As he again tries for his 600th career home run, Alex Rodriguez will face one of the better Cleveland starters in righthander Fausto Carmona (10-7, 3.51), who has just about owned A-Rod in a small sampling.
Rodriguez has one home run (his 501st in 2007) in 12 official at-bats and just one other hit for a .167 average. He has one run batted in and was hit by a pitch. He has struck out eight times. Carmona has walked him four times.
Carmona's name has come up in trade talks over the last several weeks.
